TOWERING OVER PARKLAND COUNTY

On Monday, September 13, 2010, Westcan Wireless along with members from Parkland County and area celebrated the construction and commissioning of the tower portion of the Parkland County Rural Communications Network.

As mentioned in last quarter’s newsletter, Westcan Wireless is part of the County’s Intelligent Community Initiative for the next five years designing and building the tower network needed for the project.

Westcan's inclusion in the event demonstrates the growing influence of Westcan Wireless in the Rural and Municipal markets, and the positive impact that our commitment to providing leading edge technology, interoperability and forward compatibility is having.

The event was well attended by many important figures including Minister of Service Alberta Heather Klimchuk, Parkland County Mayor Rob Wiedeman, MP Rona Ambrose, MP Rob Merrifield, and Parkland County CAO Pat Vincent.
